Thomas A. “The Tool Man” Robertson

   May 3, 1964 - January 17, 2018

Thomas A. Robertson, 53, Altoona, passed away Wednesday at UPMC Altoona unexpectedly.  He was born in Altoona, a son of Clarence and Carrie (Franco) Robertson.   

Surviving are; the love of his life, Mary A. Heiss of Altoona; his parents:  Clarence and Carrie Robertson; four brothers:  Chris Robertson of Albuquerque, NM, Craig (Susi) Robertson of Altoona, Chad (Sue) Robertson of Niantic, Conn., David (Kim) Robertson of Martinsburg; sister-in-law, Jackie Robertson; many nieces and nephews; Mary’s parents, Diana and Joe Allaire of Altoona; Mary’s sister, Diana Dean of Altoona; and his German shepherd, “Hogan.”

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robb Robertson who died on September 12, 2016.

He was a 1983 graduate of Altoona High School.  He worked for Lowe’s for almost 31 years.

Thomas was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Catholic Church and a lifelong member of the Bavarian Aid Society.

He enjoyed spending time with his parents, Mary, and his family. His favorite team was the Los Angeles Raiders. He was a Jimmy Johnson NASCAR Driver fan and a “Chevy Man” who loved Silverado’s. He also enjoyed fishing with his father and “Thirsty Thursday” with his brothers and crew. Tom was the youngest of six boys.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Stevens Mortuary, Inc. 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church with The Franciscan Fathers.
