Robert M. Stultz

Robert M. Stultz, 90, passed away peacefully on January 30th, 2019.  He was the son of the late Cleda (Bush) Stultz of Altoona, Pennsylvania.  Robert, known by all as “Bob”, was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania on November 17, 1928. 

Bob graduated from Altoona high school and soon after enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served his country during the Korean War.  He became a travelling salesman and thanks to a co-worker, was introduced to Jesus.  He never missed a Sunday in church or an opportunity to tell someone about Jesus.  He sang in the church choir at Simpson Temple United Parrish and taught many a Sunday School class.

Bob enjoyed playing pinochle in card club, washing his car and eating.  He was famous for asking “What’s for dessert?” before he ever sat down to dinner. 

Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen (Ehredt) Stultz. He went on to re-marry and is survived by his second wife, Rose Marie (Rollason) Stultz.  He is also survived by his son, Tim Stultz (Gloria) of Tyrone, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Penni Cyphert of Delaware; his grandchildren, Jason Stultz (Audrie) of Indiana, PA, Abby Stultz of Altoona, PA, Mindy Rogers (Tim) of Wilmington, DE and great-grandchildren, Judah, Darian, Renee and Bella Rogers, who was the apple of his eye. 

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc. 1421 Eighth Ave. Altoona.  A funeral service for Bob will follow at 11 a.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Stevens Mortuary with the Rev. James C. House officiating.

Interment will be private at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
