Priscilla Ann Adams

Sept. 14, 1946 – April 6, 2018

Priscilla Ann Adams, 71, Altoona, formerly of Montclair, VA, died Friday at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg following a brief illness.  She was born in New York City, NY, the daughter of the late Richard and Joan (Ried) Phillips.  Her biological mother passed away giving birth to Priscilla and she was raised by her loving mother, Evelyn Phillips, second wife of Richard Phillips. She married the late Gary Adams who preceded her in death in February of 2017.

She is survived by her mother, Evelyn Phillips of St. Georges d’Oleson; a son, Richard (Kelly) Adams of Altoona; two daughters:  Elizabeth (Patrick) Rutherford of Dinwiddie, VA and Tracy (Ken) of Stafford, VA; eight grandchildren, Jordan, Connor, Joshua and Evelyn Adams, Adam and Evelyn Rutherford, and Kaylin and Taylor Waldner; and a brother William Phillips (Jean-Pierre Martinod) of France.

Priscilla was preceded in death by a brother, Jordan Phillips.

She was a 1964 graduate of Port Chester High School in Port Chester, NY.  She married her husband, Gary, in 1970 and began moving with the Marine Corps in 1973 until they finally settled in Virginia 38 years ago.  She retired from Shoppers Food Warehouse in 2015 after over 20 years of providing wonderful customer service. 

Priscilla will most be remembered for her love of shopping and outgoing personality.  She loved to surround herself with people.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Committal will be at Quantico National Cemetery in Virginia.
