Michael Paul Logan, 53, Ambler, Pa, formerly of Altoona passed away January 10, 2018 at home.  He was born February 3, 1964 in Altoona, the son of James Clifton Logan and M. Susan (Barbour) DiDomenico.  He was preceded in death by his father.  He is survived by his mother and special friend Jean Thayer.  Michael was a 1982 graduate of Altoona High School and was employed as a Market Frankfort cashier for the South-Eastern Transportation Authority.  He was a lifelong volunteer firefighter starting as a junior firefighter at age 16 for Kittanning Fire Company in Altoona then joining Wissahickon Fire Company in Ambler as a firefighter, engineer and fire police. Mike was also an EMT and former member of Ambler Ambulance Association. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, enjoyed Geocaching with Jean, attending gun shows and was a model train enthusiast. A Memorial Service celebrating Michael’s life will be held January 28, 2018 at the Wissahickon Fire Hall, Ambler, Pa. starting at 12:30 pm with services at 1:30 pm. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona, Pa. at the family’s convenience. Arrangements are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., Patton, Pa.  (www.stevensfamilyfuneralhomes.com
