Margaret V. Blyler

Margaret V. Blyler, 89, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Thursday afternoon at UPMC Altoona after a brief illness. She was born in Lanett, Ala., daughter of the late Walter A. and Bertha (Parks) Williams. On March 16, 1957, she married William C. Blyler in Fayetteville, N.C. He preceded her in death Nov. 1, 1975.

Surviving are: a son, William C. Blyler Jr. (Diane) of Duncansville; a daughter, Tammie Blyler of Hollidaysburg; two sisters: Shirley Eisenhart of York, and Patsy Pritchett in Florida; a brother-in-law, Barry Blyler (Brenda) of Hollidaysburg; a sister-in-law, Amelia Blyler of Hollidaysburg and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Leatrice Townsend; two brothers: Jimmy and W.A. Williams; and a brother-in-law, Richard E. Blyler.

Margaret was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hollidaysburg. 

She enjoyed dancing and reading.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Dec. 30, 2019, at Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg, PA, where a funeral service will follow at noon, with Pastor Gary Dull, officiating.

Interment will be at Royer Cemetery, Williamsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Central PA Humane Society, 1837 E Pleasant Valley Blvd, Altoona, PA 16602, in Margaret's memory.
