Le Etta C. Beatty, 88, Hollidaysburg, passed away Thursday morning at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Lloyd and Sarah (Snyder) Parsons.  She married Lester G. Beatty December 31, 1954 in Hollidaysburg and he preceded her in death June 6, 1987.

Surviving are two sons: Leslie A. (Lisa) of Hollidaysburg and Brian E. of Roaring Spring; a daughter, Barbara J. (Randy) Heverly of Hollidaysburg; nine grandchildren: Donald Heverly (Missy), Misty Deffibaugh (Josh), Scott Biddle, Nicole Beatty, Tyler Beatty, Kathy Yellets (Jason), Ronald Pentz, Charles Morris (Syreeta) and Dustin Mowery (Sarah); and many great-grandchildren.

She was the last living member of her immediate family.

Le Etta was a 1946 graduate of Altoona High School.  She had worked at the A&P Warehouse in Altoona and the deli at Riverside Market in Hollidaysburg, and was known as the “Deli Lady”.

Le Etta was a member of the Williamsburg American Legion.  She enjoyed dancing, Bingo, puzzles, watching daytime soap operas, NCIS, CSI, Jeopardy, Big Bang Theory, CBS Sunday Morning News, 48 Hours, and Saturday Night music programs. When traveling with her son, Leslie, to his music venues, she was known as the “Band Mother”.

Friends will be received from 4-8 pm on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg, where a Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2017,at 10 am by Rev. Dennis Braun.

Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Altoona.
