Kenneth L. Despot

Kenneth L. Despot, 62, Duncansville, passed away Friday morning at UPMC Altoona.

He was born in Huntingdon, son of the late Frank and Naomi (Kinch) Despot. On Sept. 5, 1998, he married Betsy A. Luckett in Lakemont.

Surviving are his wife of Duncansville; three sons: twins Cory (Misty) of Hollidaysburg, and Travis (Vicki) of Brockport, N.Y. and Seth and fiancee, Mindy, of Puzzletown; five grandchildren: Alexis, Natalie, Ava, Stella and Caitlin; a sister, Sharon Quigley of Hollidaysburg; a brother-in-law, Michael Luckett of Millcreek; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dog, Abby.

Ken was a 1973 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He retired as an electrician for Norfolk Southern.

He was a member of Cesare Battisti Club and Safari Club International. He enjoyed hunting, shooting and archery.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service, Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, at Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Ken be made to Mending Hearts Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 97, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648, or a trust fund for a Wish Hunt for Safari Club International, 219 Windvale Drive, Duncansville, PA 16635.
