Joyce A. Brenneman

Joyce A. Brenneman, 87, Duncansville, passed away unexpectedly Monday at her residence.  She was born in Ohio, daughter of the late Edwin Lloyd and Olga (Uline) Figart.

She married James R. Brenneman on December 15, 1950 in Winchester Virginia and he preceded her in death August 4, 1998.

She is survived by a son, David L. (Kara) of Duncansville; six grandchildren: Brande Himmel, David Jr. Brenneman, Jamie Brenneman, Dawn Mattern, Sheila Brenneman, and Jerome Ekard; five great-grandchildren: Arabella, Chance, John David, Erika, and Amber; a brother, Edwin L. Figart of Claysburg; and a niece.

She was preceded in death by three sons: Donald A., Bruce A., and James R. Jr.; and a sister, Carol E. Zook.

Joyce was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School.  She was a self-employed accountant and also sold antiques.

Joyce was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where she was very active.  She enjoyed painting and gardening.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service on Monday, February 18, 2019 at New Hope Baptist Church with Dr. Doug Pilot, officiating.

The family requests that donations in memory of Joyce be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 276 Maple Hollow Rd, Duncansville, PA 16635.
