James A. Holliday

May 25, 1994 – October 4, 2018

 

James A. Holliday, 24, Altoona, passed away Thursday at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, as the result of a motorcycle accident.

Jim was born in Altoona, son of Edward C. and Ronna (Rosenthall) Holliday.

Surviving are his parents, a sister, Dana Holliday and fiancé Nathan Phillips of Altoona; a niece, Mackenzie E. Phillips; a nephew, Seth Phillips; paternal grandmother, Margaret Greene; maternal grandmother, Audrey Rosenthall and aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, James Rosenthall; uncle, Harry Rosenthall and paternal great-uncle, Ambrose Loomis.

Jim was a 2012 graduate of Altoona High School and a 2015 graduate of Pittsburgh Technical Institute in HVAC Technologies.

He was employed at Shultz Plumbing and Heating as an HVAC Technician.

Jim was a member of Temple Beth Israel.

He enjoyed cars, motorcycles and off-roading.

Friends will be received from 7-9 pm on Monday, October 8, 2018 and from 9am until an 11 am funeral service on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Temple Beth Israel, 3004, Union Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602 by Rabbi Audrey Korotkin. Interment will be at Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Altoona.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to American Diabetes Association, PO Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215 or to Temple Beth Israel, 3004 Union Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602 in Jim’s memory.
