James C. Moxley, Sr.

James C. Moxley, Sr., 87, Flinton passed away June 3, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born June 3, 1931 in Altoona, the son of Clyde G. and Mary S. (Thomas) Moxley, Sr.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Ella Sue Harris, brother Clyde G. Moxley II and grandson James III.  He is survived by his wife Rose M. (Lann) Moxley, whom he married October 24, 1951, children James C. (Kaye) Moxley, Jr., St. Lawrence, Bryan D. (Claudia) Moxley, Newville, Lloyd T. (Jean) Moxley, Westminster, MD and Mark G. (Elaine) Moxley, St. Lawrence, grandchildren, Jason, Amanda, Sean, Michelle, Matthew, Adam, Ashley, Meghan, step grandchildren Cristina, Gregory, Jeremy, Brenda, Josh and numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired as a superintendent from Acme Markets after many years of service.  He was member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton and Korean War Veterans Association II Infantry Division.  James was a collector of 2-cylinder John Deere Tractors and was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan.  Friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 1004 North Fifth Avenue Patton, where a vigil for the deceased will be held.  Funeral Mass 11:00 am Thursday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton by Benedictine Fathers.  Interment St. Lawrence Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton or Pancreatic Cancer Action Network 1500 Rosecrans Avenue Suite 200 Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
