Isadore B. Blake

Isadore B. Blake, 67, Patton passed away March 20, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born January 10, 1952 in Spangler, the son of Joseph and Mary (Bertin) Blake.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Joe and Jerry Blake, sisters-in-law Flo Blake and Carla Sutton, father-in-law Carl R. Quist, brother-in-law Wayne Quist.  He is survived by his loving wife Mary (Quist) Blake, whom he married December 14, 1983, children Kristian Blake, San Diego, CA, Nicole Scheetz, San Diego, CA, Cassandra Mae Blake, Patton, Alexander (Brittany Noel) Bertin Blake, Allentown, PA and Shelby Ismarie (Robbie Grove) Blake, Patton, granddaughter Zoe Scheetz, sisters Elizabeth “Cookie” (Bob) Rairigh, Patton, Flossie (Bob) Maloskey, mother-in-law Anna Mary Quist, sisters-in-law Gloria Blake, Charlene Quist, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Kathy (John) Kuskoski, Barb (Denny) Golgosky, Joe (Robin) Quist, Ted Quist, Janice (Kevin) Baird, Melissa (Eric) Leaper and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  He served in the U.S. Navy as a missile tech on the USS Von Steuben and worked at Prince Gallitzin State Park and Ebensburg Center before retiring from AT&T as a technical specialist after thirty years of service.  Isadore was a member of the Patton American Legion Post 614 and United Methodist Church.  He enjoyed working and spending time with his family and his dog Nana.  Friends will be received Saturday from 11:00 am until the noon memorial service at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 1004 North Fifth Avenue Patton by Pastor Bob Nagy.  In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to Cambria County Humane Society 743 Galleria Drive Extension Johnstown, PA 15904.
