Henry "Hank" Jolly

Henry “Hank” Jolly, 88, Patton passed away March 10, 2018 at Miners Medical Center.  He was born October 12, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Julius and Hannah (Conway) Jolly.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Irene E. Jolly, brother Jesse James Jolly and daughter Nancy Jo Hannah Barr.  He is survived by his stepson Dale Shaw, Patton; grandchild Christopher Jolly, Patton; great grandchildren Brianna Woods, Jacob Jolly, Jonathon Jolly, Ashdaleah Hannah Jolly and several nieces and nephews.  He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.  He was a graduate of Patton High School and of Penn State Altoona with a degree in Drafting and Design.  Hank served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a draftsman/designer of aircraft engines with General Electric. He retired from the Department of Environmental Resources as a mine inspector after many years of service.  Hank was a lifetime member of the Patton VFW, Patton American Legion, Patton Slovak Club, Patton Moose, Sons of Italy, Carrolltown Fire Club and Patton Sportsmen’s Club.  Friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., 1004 North Fifth Avenue Patton.  Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Thursday by Benedictine Fathers at the funeral home.  Committal St. Mary’s Cemetery, Patton.  Full military honors will be accord by John White VFW Post 779 and Walter McCoy American Legion Post 614.  (www.stevensfamilyfuneralhomes.com)
