Helen June Kelley,86, Hollidaysburg, passed away Easter Sunday evening at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg after brief illness.

She was born in Geeseytown, daughter of the late John Shubert and Gladys Thelma (Mangus) Hileman.

On Feb. 14, 1953, she married George Edward Kelley Jr. in Geeseytown, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 1999.

She is survived by a son, Nathan P. (Pam) of Geeseytown; two daughters: Paulette J. Wafa and Brenda J. (Joe) Bidoli, both of Hollidaysburg; a brother, Mark Hileman of Turkey Valley; three sisters: Oletha Myers a resident of Homewood at Martinsburg, Carol Loucks in West Virginia, and Paula Keithley of Williamsburg; eight grandchildren: Mathew, Sean, and Sarah Kelley, Crystal, Jonathan, and Kathleen Wafa, and Daniele and Michael Bidoli; and six great-grandchildren: Madison, Cayden, Aria, Noah, and Emma Kelley, and Adelyn Wafa Walls.

She was preceded in death by two great-grandsons: Landon and Issak; four brothers: Robert, James, Denny and an infant brother, David; and a sister, Dorothy Eberle.

Helen, lovingly known as Aunt June, was a 1950 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She previously was employed at G.C. Murphy in Hollidaysburg, a seamstress at Loungeray and she was an Avon lady for many years.

She was a senior companion with Blair Senior Services.

She was very active at Geeseytown Lutheran Church, where she was a lifelong member, serving on the Church Council, the Altar Guild and teaching Sunday and Bible School.  Helen was a Cub Scout Den mother, and she taught 4-H and sewing.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018, Pastor John B. Telyea officiating. Interment will be in Geeseytown Cemetery.

The family requests that donations in memory of June be made to Geeseytown Lutheran Church, 462 Route 22, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
