Helen Hanyok

It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Aunt Helen Hanyok, 99, Carrolltown  on April 19, 2020 at Haida Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born September 25, 1920 in Glen Campbell, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Sebuck) Ploucha.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Michael Hanyok, Jr.; brother Walter; sisters Josephine Leonard and Berniece Miller.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  Helen is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, especially Lou O’Brien and Lynne Lansberry whom she raised and who were very dear and near to her heart and her dear friend Robert Slavicsky.  She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown.  Helen was a very devout catholic  and would so anything for her family.  Due to the COVID-19 restriction there will be no visitation.  A memorial mass will be held at a later date.  Interment St. Benedict Cemetery.  Memorials are requested to St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown.  A special thank you to Dr. Dvorchak, the staff at Haida, Father Jude W.
