Gloria F. ‘Glo’ Cuff

April 26, 1930 – October 3, 2018

Gloria F. ‘Glo’ Cuff, 88, formerly of 1011 19th St., Altoona, passed away Wednesday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.  Gloria, an only child, was born in Oakland, Mississippi, daughter of the late William and Georgia (Wright) Harding.  She married Curtis Cuff on May 26, 1967.

Gloria leaves to cherish memories of her, her loving husband of 51 years, Curtis; her only daughter, Carmen Jones and special son-in-law Richard Jones; granddaughter, Autumn Amerine; grandson, Eric Jones (Jana); five great-grandchildren:  Jessica Vanoutryve (Sander), Takera and Jayden Jones, and Marissa and Marcus Amerine.

She was a graduate of the Altoona High School and the Altoona School of Commerce. She retired from the Altoona Hospital as a billing clerk after 33 years of service. 

Gloria was a member of the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church.  She was active in the church as an usher and a missionary. She belonged to many clubs including the Violet Temple of Arandale Elks Lodge No. 260, Women of Color, Women of Excellence, Hostess Unique.  She was also a member of the NAACP.  She volunteered for years for Meals on Wheels and the Abused Women and Children’s Shelter.   

She enjoyed reading, playing cards, bingo and going to Las Vegas with her husband.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, and from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral Service officiated by Pastor Keith R. Moore on Monday, October 8, 2018, at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2121 5th Ave., Altoona, Committal will be at Blair Memorial Cemetery.
