Frederick J. Rosian

Frederick J. Rosian, 91, Patton passed away July 24, 2016 at Golden Living Center-Haida.  He was born May 27, 1925 in Patton the son of Frederick C. and Nellie (Sickler) Rosian.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife of 68 years Dora A. (Gobert) Rosian, brother Paul and sister Nellie Grace Pierce.  He is survived by children Ronald F. (Linda) Rosian, Patton and Kathy M. (Walter) Fieser, Johnstown, seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, twin brothers Raymond and Ralph both of Johnstown and numerous nieces and nephews.  Fred served during WWII in the 28th Marines 5th Marine Division and after his service he worked for Bethlehem Steel until he was offered an early retirement in 1980 because of the decline in steel. He was a deacon at the Calvary Baptist Church, Patton, an adult Sunday School teacher and was also affiliated with Joyline Ministries and Calvary Evangelical Church.  He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed playing his guitar and singing gospel music.  Fred was a charitable man who loved the Lord, his family and farming.  Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 1004 North Fifth Avenue, Patton, PA 16668.  A Funeral Service with full military honors will be held 11:00 am Friday at the funeral home by Pastor Mike Knepp.  Committal Fairview Cemetery, Patton.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to New Day, Inc. 109 South Street Johnstown, PA 15901.    (
