Frank M. Gerlesky

Frank M. Gerlesky, 83, Carrolltown passed away March 24, 2019 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.  He was born April 3, 1935 in Barnesboro, the son of John and Catherine (Haligowski) Gerlesky.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters Virginia Cassiere, John Klemack, Helen Klemack, Blanche Mazzella, Ann Hruborchak, Joseph Gerlesky, Edward Gerlesky, Genevive O’lear, and Paul Gerlesky.  He is survived by his loving wife Syvilla (Luther) Gerlesky, children Christine (Kevin) Kelleher, Hollidaysburg, Thomas (Rose) Gerlesky, Cherry Tree, Tammy (Francie) Sclesky, Carrolltown, Timothy Gerlesky, Carrolltown and Theodore (Marsha) Gerlesky, Elmora, grandchildren Casey, Cara, Kirk, Zachary, Kristen, Alyssa, Shaina, Abigail, Christopher, Cody, Kyle and Kady, four great grandchildren, brother Walter Gerlesky, sister Louise Kotrick and numerous nieces and nephews.  He served in the U.S. Army and was self employed and owner of NorCamCo Construction.  Frank was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown, American Legion, VFW and the Moose.  He enjoyed going to camp, hunting, fishing, playing the guitar, woodworking and spending time with his family.  Friends will be received from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Funeral Mass Thursday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown, by Rev. Jude W. Brady, OSB.  Committal church cemetery.  Full military rites will be accorded by local veteran’s organizations.  Arrangements are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., Carrolltown.  (
