Erma E. Cupples

May 2, 1951 – April 12, 2018

Erma E. Cupples, 66, Altoona, passed away Thursday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Health Care surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late George and Alberta (Eckard) Vaughn.  On February 21, 1990, she married Leonard B. Cupples, Jr.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Michael L. Cupples and a daughter, Amy Jo (Donald) Stolz, all of Altoona; two brothers, Christopher and Timothy (Gwen) Vaughn, both of Altoona; two sisters, Martha (Ken) Long in Colorado and Edna “Connie” (Ed) Wilt of Altoona; two grandchildren:  Amanda and Samantha Krestar; and two great-grandchildren, Emma and Allie-May.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Jody; and a brother, George Vaughn, Jr.

Erma was a graduate of Altoona High School and had been employed as a clerk at Puff and Stuff in Juniata.

She was a member of the Catholic War Veterans and Cesare Battisti Club.   She was an avid reader and enjoyed camping, fishing, playing pool, puzzles and visiting with her granddaughters and great-granddaughters.

Friends will be received from 10 to noon on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona followed by a funeral service at noon in Stevens Memorial Chapel by Reverend Douglas McGaffin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Erma’s memory to the American Cancer Society, Blair County Unit, 1004 N. Juniata St., Hollidaysburg, PA  16648.
