Edward L. Hetsko

Edward "Muzz" Hetsko, Patton passed away October 14, 2014 at James E. Van Zant VA Medical Center, Altoona.  He was born  April 8, 1921 in Patton   the son of Stephen and Anna (Stasko) Hetsko.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sisters Mary Chongla, Ann Kohlbeck, Betty Kroll, Madeline Hetsko, Margaret Wachowski; brothers Joseph Hetsko and Francis Hetsko.  He is survived by brother John "Jack" Hetsko and several nieces and nephews.  Muzz was a coal miner prior to serving in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a mason.  He was a member of the former St. Georges Catholic Church, Patton and Queen of Peace Catholic Church Patton; VFW Post 779, Patton; American Legion Post 614 and Patton Slovak Club.  Muzz enjoyed dancing in his younger days.  Friends will be received 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, October 17, 2014 at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., 1004 North Fifth Avenue Patton, Pa 16668 where a vigil for the deceased will be held.  Funeral Mass 11:00 am Saturday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton, PA 16668  by Benedictine Fathers.  Committal St. Mary's Cemetery.  Full military rites will be accorded by John White VFW Post 779 and Walter McCoy American Legion Post 614.  (www.stevensfamilyfuneralhomes.com)
