Robert A. “Bob” Capstick, 88, Altoona, went home to his Lord and Savior Saturday at Hillview Health and Rehabilitation Center.  He was born in Altoona, son of John A. and Ollie (Beck) Capstick.

Bob was a 1951 graduate of Altoona High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War from 1951 to 1955, serving on the U.S.S. Tortuga-26.   He retired from the Social Security Administration Office with 43 years of service.

Patricia P. Leap, 93, Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg, passed away Tuesday at the Manor.  She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Ernest Rudolph and Winifred Agnes (Ryan) Pressler.  On July 11, 1949 she married James F. Leap at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on Aug. 24, 2016.

Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.

Nancy Lee Lego, 90, Altoona, passed away Thursday at The Winds at Mattern Orchard. She was born in Punxsutawney, daughter of the late David A. and Mae (Averill) Zufall. On Sept. 16, 1950, she married Ralph M. Lego who preceded her in death on April 11, 2010.

Surviving are her son, Stanley W. (Yvonne) Lego; two grandchildren: Tara (Tim) Banks of Altoona and Chad (Alyssa) Lego of Vinegrove Kentucky; two great-grandchildren, Chad Jr. and Charlie.

David F. Petrak, 64, Altoona, passed away on Wednesday at home, after a long and courageous journey with pancreatic cancer. 

He was born in McKeesport, youngest child of the late John S. and Ann E. (Liscik) Petrak. On Aug. 13, 1977, he married Mary Frances Bean at St. Patrick's Church in White Haven.

Surviving are a son, Kyle (Julie) George; a grandson, Shane Montgomery; two brothers:  Jace Kissinger and Wade (Becky) Kissinger; two nephews:  Devin and Cody; and a great-niece, Evelyn.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Mark.

Fortuna “Flory” D’Aloisio Ciambotti, 92, Altoona, passed away on Sunday at her residence surrounded by her family, following a brief illness.  Born in Altoona, she was the first child born to the late Domenic and Jane (DelBiondo) D’Aloisio.  On May 25, 1949 she married Domenic “Nick” Ciambotti and they recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

Louis A. “Uncle Lou” Probst, 78, Altoona, passed away Tuesday at his residence following a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.  He was born in Altoona, son of the late Alois and Anna Jean (Africa) Probst.  He married Rosalene (Georgianna) Probst and she preceded him in death.

Surviving is his daughter, Mary Ann Probst of Altoona, and his grandson, Gage Ian Reid.
