Reverend Leo A. Lynch, 67, Hollidaysburg, passed away Thursday at Garvey Manor Nursing Home.  He was born in Altoona, son of the late Leo C. and Matilda (Fiore) Lynch. 

Surviving are a brother, Dr. James Lynch and wife, Karen of Greensburg; a sister, Leah Giurfa and husband, Giuseppe of Arnold MD; niece and nephew: Rachel and James Lynch Jr.; nephew, Joseph Giurfa; niece, Daniela Farabaugh; and many cousins.

Luca Angelo Suarez, infant, Altoona, was born and went to be with the Lord Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at UPMC Altoona.

Surviving are his parents, Cesar Arnaldo Suarez, Sr. and Milagros Nadine Rivera; a brother; Cesar Arnaldo Suarez, Jr., one other brother and three sisters.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery.

George W. Servello, 80, Altoona, died unexpectedly Saturday at his residence. 

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Alvin and Catherine (Bickel) Servello. On April 20, 1960, he married Dorothy Bigelow, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 30, 2018.

Robert J. Purdin,36, Altoona, died Wednesday at UPMC Altoona.  He was born in Fort Polk, LA son of Daniel and Kathy (Feather) Purdin.  He married Jessica Orr on July 22, 2017 in Duncansville.

Surviving are his wife of Altoona; his parents of Tampa, FL; two sons: Adam and Aidan Purdin, both of Newry; a daughter, Makenzie Lloyd-Purdin of Duncansville; and a sister, Donna Purdin of Altoona.

Victor A. “Tony” Gioiosa Sr., 86, Altoona, passed away Thursday after a brief illness at UPMC Altoona.  He was born in Altoona, son of the late Michele A. and Donata M. (Perretta) Gioiosa.  He married Louise M. Maierhofer on Sept. 27, 1952 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Altoona.

Lois M. Sunderland, 72, Altoona, passed away after an extended illness.  She was born in Shreveport, LA, daughter of the late Garland and Eleven (Folder) Boles. She married Charles C. Sunderland in 1985 in Bossier, LA.

Surviving are her husband; two sons; Nathan and Chad East, both from LA; several grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Owen.

Earl Pattillo, 94, Altoona, transitioned from this earthly life on Friday.  He was born in Tulip, Ark. to the late Samuel and Olivette (Smith) Pattillo. On Sept. 25, 1946 he married the late Margaret Caldwell in Winchester, Va. To this union, five children were born.

James Joseph “JJ” O’Donnell II, 76, Altoona, passed away unexpectedly Monday at his residence.  He was born in Altoona, son of the late James J. and Stella (Bradley) O’Donnell.

Surviving are his daughter, Jennifer (Brian) Buffone of Duncansville; and two grandchildren:  Nolan Henry Buffone and Jillian Josephine Buffone.
