Paul M. Flora, 87, Patton passed away December 17, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born June 6, 1929 in Bakerton, the son of James and Rose (Fiasco) Flora.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Besse V. (Sunseri) Flora, daughter Marilyn "Cis" Flora and several brothers and sisters.  He is survived by his son Paul (Linda Mihalow) Flora, Patton; grandchildren Keith, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Craig, Washington, D.C. sister-in-law Dorothy Lake; brother-in-law Walter Sunseri and many nieces and nephews.

Joseph “Joe” J. Novak, 84, Patton passed away December 4, 2016 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh.  He was born May 28, 1932 in Hastings, the son of Michael and Elizabeth (Bartock) Novak.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Rose A. Novak whom he married June 25, 1955 and brothers Michael Jr. and Daniel.

Mary Julia Lantzy, 87, Patton, passed away November 28, 2016 at UPMC Altoona.  She was born March 24, 1929 in Spangler, the daughter of Reuben and Viola (Dumm) Lieb.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Father Joel Lieb, O.S.B., Charles Lieb, Chester Lieb and her sister Lucille Duman.  She is survived by her husband of 65 years Bede M.

Anne Shurell, 93, New York, formerly of Patton passed away November 14, 2016 at Riverside Nursing Home, New York.  She was born September 1, 1923 in Patton, the daughter of Andrew E. and Mary A.

Karen E. Gormish, 74, Patton, passed away November 1, 2016 at UPMC Altoona.  She was born January 13, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of Willard V. and Mildred C.

Doris M. Swab, 76, Altoona, formerly of Patton passed away October 19, 2016 at UPMC Altoona.  She was born May 21, 1940 in Patton, the daughter of Augustine and Rosanna (Farabaugh) McNulty.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John R. “Jack” Swab, a brother Benedict and a sister Verna Yencho.

James O. Stanley, 81, Patton passed away October 13, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center.  He was born February 12, 1935 in Doddridge, Ark., the son of Floyd Alec and Claudia Pearl (Brown) Stanley.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters John Henry Ford Stanley, Charlie Stanley, Floyd Alec Stanley, Jr. and Lucy Hill.  He is survived by his wife Jo Ann (Albert) Stanley whom he married March 12, 1966, children Linda Lee (Randy) Hollen, Patton; James O.

Susan Amelia Noel, 73, Patton passed away September 6, 2016 at UPMC Altoona surrounded by her loving family.  She was born October 26, 1942 in Spangler, the daughter of Albert “Bub” and Sue (Agypt) Leary.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her husband Joseph C. Noel whom she married January 12, 1963, children Joseph P. Noel, San Diego, CA; Barbara Sue (Brant) Mozina, St. Lawrence; Sean M.
