Mary Virginia "Ginger" Eckenrode

Mary Virginia “Ginger” Eckenrode, 82, of Carrolltown, died at home Friday, October 6, 2017, after an extended illness, surrounded by her loving family.  Ginger lived an ordinary life of extraordinary impact, touching the lives of thousands of other people through her work in nursing and her passion for community service and her church.  Ginger was born in Patton on August 1, 1935, the daughter of Mark and Ruth (Shunkwiler) Brown. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Mark, Thomas, Charles and Jack; and two sisters, Rita and Norma.

Bogus, 87, of Carrolltown passed away September 5, 2017 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born December 31, 1929 in Spangler the son of the late Stanley and Victoria (Slavisky) Bogus. He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Edward, and Stanley Bogus, and sisters, Helen Quinn, Florence Minarish.

Camilla M. Zalucki, 56, Johnstown passed away September 4, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center.  She was born December 27, 1960 in Johnstown the daughter of Richard P. and Mellie M. (Kuhnley) Kelly.  In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother and sisters Marie (Gary) Foor; Anthony Kelly; Cindi (Dennis) Kelly Mauser; nieces and nephews Tabitha Kelly; Melanie (Brian) Harris and Stephen Foor.  She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown.  At Camilla’s request, there will be no visitation.  Memorial Mass 1:00 pm Friday at St.

Baldacchino, 84, Carrolltown passed away August 18, 2017 peacefully at home after an extended illness.  He was born June 21, 1933 in Barnesboro, the son of the late Joseph and Dina (Guarniere) Baldacchino.  He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.  He is survived by his wife Mary Louise (Columbus) Baldacchino; daughters Sister Marita Cecelia, OCD Carmelite Monastery, Loretto; Toni (Mark) Mitro, Delmont and grandson Anthony Mitro.  He served in the US Navy during the Korean War and in the Naval Reserves.  Anthony was a graduate of St.

James L. Sands

James L. Sands, 86, Carrolltown passed away May 11, 2017 at Indiana Regional Medical Center.  He was born August 30, 1930 in Las Vegas, NM the son of Vernon L. and Mildred (Ellis) Sands.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara (Eckenrode) Sands and son John R.  He is survived by his son William M. (Patti) Sands, Indiana; granddaughter Emily C. Sands and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and served with the New Mexico National Guard.
