She was born in Altoona, daughter of Walter and Gladys Miller.

Surviving are two children: Jeffrey Hopkins and Michele (Hopkins) Walters, both of Las Vegas, Nev.; two grandsons: Robert Howard and Cody Walters of Elizabethtown, Ky.; and a brother, Donald Miller of Altoona.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of Paul R. and Catherine (Stormer) Curran. On July 5, 1947, she married Robert Sylvester Carey at St. Mary Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, and he preceded her in death Nov. 10, 1991.

She was born October 24, 1921 in Ebensburg, PA, daughter of the late John Anthony and Edna (Evans) Wolf.
After graduating from Ebensburg’s schools, Daryle joined the editorial department of Modern Industry magazine in New York City where she rose through the ranks to become Production Manager. She moved to Fairfield, Connecticut to accept a similar position with a chain of newspapers and, in 1952 married Chester Merrill Withington, Jr., editor of The Fairfield News. They resided in Connecticut for 38 years.
