John Raymond Miller, 88, Mansfield, OH, passed away July 8, 2019 at Mansfield Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born in Lakemont, son of the late Raymond C. and Juliette K. (Hileman) Miller.

Surviving are three sons: Martin R. and John A. both of Hollidaysburg, and James S. of Duncansville; one daughter, Jaime Singleton of Richmond, VA; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert A. of Atlanta, GA.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Harry Sr. and Ethel (Evers) Haines. On July 20, 1957, she married Roger S. Meintel at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Altoona, and he preceded her in death Feb. 1, 2007.

He was the son of the late John and Pauline (Stouffer) Steele.

On September 17, 1954 in Martinsburg, he married Mearle “Louise” Myers who preceded him in death on September 20, 2016.

He is survived by a son, Duane of Hollidaysburg; and three grandchildren: Olivia, Julia, and Hunter Steele.

Alma Naomi Nale, 99, Camdenton, MO, formerly of Hollidaysburg, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 at Bristol Manor of Camdenton.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late John L. and Martha M. (Metz) Weicht.  She married Forrest A. Nale on June 23, 1940 in Altoona.  He preceded her in death March 10, 2008.

She is survived by a son, Forrest Larry Nale (Patty) of Camdenton, MO; two grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

Georgiana M. Bishop, 79, Duncansville, passed away Tuesday afternoon at UPMC Altoona after a battle with heart disease.  She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late William Charles and Gladys Olive (Delozier) Bayle.  She married James E. Bishop, the love of her life, on May 29, 1958 in Altoona.  He preceded her in death on September 27, 2005.
