Bonnie L. 'Gram' Aungst

Bonnie L. "Gram" Aungst, 88, of Hollidaysburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday morning, surrounded by her loving family, at the home of her daughter, Deborah and son-in-law, George.

She was born in Hollidaysburg, daughter of the late Lewis and Rebekah (Coy) Garland. She was raised in the home of her grandparents, Dave and Nellie Garland. On Dec. 15, 1950, she married Clair E. Aungst in Winchester, Va., and he preceded her in death on May 28, 1989.

Surviving are a daughter, Deborah I. (George) Petrou of Duncansville; a son, Ronald E. of Loysburg; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Stanley Claar of Duncansville; and a sister, Becky Pershing of Elizabeth. 

She was predeceased by three brothers: Daniel, Lewis and James.

Bonnie was a 1950 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She retired from Veeder-Root Co. She was a member of Faith Assembly of God, Roaring Spring.

Bonnie enjoyed NASCAR and shopping, but especially spending time with her family.

Friends will be received from noon to 2 and 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, at Faith Assembly of God, Roaring Spring, where a funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. Saturday, Pastor Del Smith officiating. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery, Leamersville. Arrangements are by Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg.
