Beverly A. Sprankle Berkheimer

Beverly A. Sprankle Berkheimer, 68, Hollidaysburg, passed away Monday at her residence after a brief illness.  She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Rose (Hale) Hancock Hicks. 

She is survived by two sons:  Shaun T. Berkheimer (Lori) of Hollidaysburg and Kenneth McElhinney and fiancée, Alexis of Duncansville; four grandchildren:  Lucas, Andrew, Brayden and Morgan; a great-grandchild, Blaise; a brother Thomas Hancock of Altoona; several nieces and nephews and Dean Sprankle.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda McElhinney; a son, Jesse McElhinney; a sister, Trudy Livingston; and James Berkheimer.

Beverly was a 1968 graduate of Altoona High School.  She retired from Altoona Area School District as a bus driver.

She was a member of the Trans4mation Church.  She was also a volunteer at Father’s House and St. Vincent DePaul Society. She enjoyed spending time with kids, sewing, crafts, cooking and helping others.

Friends will be received 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona. A funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, 2018 at Stevens Memorial Chapel, by Pastor Chris Heller.  Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery.
