Anna B. Pielmeier

April 16, 1923 – February 2, 2018

Anna B. Pielmeier, 94, Altoona, passed away Friday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.  She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Ratzer) Lechner.  On October 16, 1954, she married Paul Pielmeier, who preceded her in death on February 11, 1985.

Surviving are a son; Tim (Michele) Pielmeier of Bellwood; two daughters:  Cheryl Ferguson and Paula (Joseph) Holsinger, of Altoona; and seven grandchildren: Thad (Kelly) Ferguson, Ashlyn (Luis) Cancel, Abby and Julie Holsinger, and Daniel, Tracy and Emily Pielmeier.

She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters; and a son-in-law Edward Ferguson.

Anna was previously employed by the Altoona Overall Factory as a sewing machine operator for 14 years.

She was a member of St. Marks Catholic Church.  She enjoyed crocheting, reading, being outdoors, eating out, and spending time with her family.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc. 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018 at St. Marks Catholic Church, by Father Ronald Osinski.  Committal will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Altoona.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given in Anna’s memory to the Blair/Clearfield Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 300 Fifth Ave., Altoona, PA  16602.
