Aloysius J. Koehle

Aloysius J. Koehle, 78, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Bucks County, died Friday at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Aloysius B. and Bertha G. (Greiner) Koehle. He married Floyce M. Clevenger, who preceded him in death on Feb. 24, 2017.

Surviving are two sons: Kerry Koehle of Levittown, and Brian Hockenberry of Fairless Hills; a daughter, Darcy Gaus of Gouldsboro; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers: Joseph A. (Cathy) and Anthony M. (Sue), both of Altoona; and five sisters: Mary Anne (Ron) Weakland of State College, Patricia M. McTavish of Rockville, Md., and Kathy M. Corl, Michaelene M. (Jim) Lamont and Jean M. Koehle, both of Altoona.

He was preceded in death by two sons: Joseph Koehle and Keith Hockenberry; and two brothers-in-law: Charles J. McTavish and Kay H. Corl.

Aloysius was a graduate of Altoona High School. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, and he retired as an employee of Neshaminy School District.

Aloysius was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church of Bucks County and the Knights of Columbus.

Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral Mass, Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at Sacred Heart Church, Altoona, Father Lubomir J. Strecok celebrant.
